Conventional CTU

Tridem trailer 8’ 6” wide. Hydraulic wetkit is mounted directly onto the tractor frame. The hydraulic pumps are driven off the tractors engine. A generator is belt driven off the tractor engine to supply electric power to the complete unit. Alternatively a diesel powered generator can be used. A fully insulated control cabin on a hydraulic lift assembly is used to provide the operator with a better view of the rear of the unit and the well area. A tubing reel capable of handling tubing from 1 ¼” to 2 7/8” is mounted in the center of the trailer in front of the cabin.

Truck Mounted CTU/N2

Truck Mounted CTU

Truck mounted picker unit. Capable of handling up to 4000m of 1 ½” tubing. Hydraulic pumps mounted to a power transfer case. Hydraulic knuckle boom crane 12.5 ton capacity. Operators cabin raises to provide the operator with a better view of the rear of unit and well area. A BOP system is mounted on the unit, complete with N2 backup.

Coiled Tubing Reel

Designed to handle tubing sizes from 1” up to 2 3/8” With a core expander tubing size can be increased to 2 7/8”. Levelwind allows the height of the counterhead assembly to be raised or lowered along with an adjustable counterpost to prevent back bending of the tubing. Counterhead is easily adjustable to accommodate different tubing sizes.

Coiled Tubing Reel Trailer

A remote spooler override controller allows the operator to control the reels functions from both the control cabin or outside the unit. Collapsible stairs provide easy access to the heated control cabin. A diesel powered generator provides 110 volt power inside control cabin as well as lighting for the rear deck area and control cabin walkway. A hydraulic injector tilt raises the injector to allow easier deployment of the coiled tubing injector.

Offshore Control Skid

Lifting lugs and forklift pockets allow easy lifting of the control cabin skid. Control cabin houses controls to control reel skid, injector, and power skid. Control cabin is insulated, heated and air conditioned for operator comfort. Control cabin is raised and lowered within the skid by two hydraulic rams which allow the operator better visibility while running the coiled tubing package.

Offshore Power Skid

Lifting lugs and forklift pockets allow easy lifting of the power skid. A 260 horse power diesel engine provides power to the skid. Three pumps provide hydraulic supply to the injector skid, tubing reel skid, and the control skid. Hose reels with high pressure hydraulic swivels are used to allow easy connecting of hydraulic hoses to auxiliary equipment.

Tubing Reel Skid

Lifting lugs and forklift pockets allow easy lifting of the power skid. A bulkhead allows easy connection of hydraulic hoses from the power skid to the tubing reel skid. A hydraulic motor through a planetary drive system turns the reel and allows enough reel drag and keeps tubing tension while running in or out hole. Counterhead is easily adjustable to accommodate different tubing sizes.

BOP Crane Truck

A stiff boom crane is used to lift the BOP Skid, BOP and Lubricators into place. Hydraulics are supplied to the BOP skid by the crane truck through hydraulic hoses run on a hose reel with a high pressure hydraulic swivel. A hydraulic slide is used to move the BOP away from the back of the truck to allow easier deployment. Toolboxes provide additional storage for tools and miscellaneous shop supplies. Storage racks allow safe storage of lubricators while in transport.

Coiled Tubing Welding Jig

Jig is adjustable to allow various sizes of coiled tubing to be welded together. Positioners are adjustable to help align both sections of tubing before welding. Chill blocks are used to redirect heat and help the coiled tubing maintain its original properties. Skid is easily movable with a forklift.

Counterhead

A mechanical counter is attached to the counterhead to provide a primary or secondary source of tubing depth. An electronic depth encoder can be mounted directly to the counterhead or mounted on the injector head. Counterhead is easily adjustable to accommodate different tubing sizes without changing rollers. Provisions have been made for additional components to be easily integrated onto the counterhead.

Hydraulic Wetkit

Wekit assembly mounts directly to tractor frame. Power is transferred to a gear box through a split shaft PTO. A 100 gallon hydraulic tank is used to provide hydraulic oil to the hydraulic system. A bulkhead is used to allow easy connection of hydraulic hoses from the tractor to the coiled tubing unit. A hydraulic cooler is used to maintain a safe working temperature for the hydraulic system.

Coiled Tubing Cartridge Reel

Stub shafts are used to secure coiled tubing cartridge. A hydraulic motor through a planetary drive system turns the reel and provides reel drag (tubing tension) while running in or out hole. Counterhead is easily adjustable to accommodate different tubing sizes. A bulkhead on the corner of the reel base provides an easy connection point for hydraulic supply.

Coiled Tubing Yard Spooler

Spooler accommodates both wooden or metal spools. Comes with a 4” shaft and two 6” collars to accommodate different manufacturers spools as well as an adjustable stop for different widths. A gear to gear system allows spools to be changed easily with out having to break a chain. A counter head assembly is moved from side to side by a spooler override controller. A bulkhead on the corner of the spooler provides an easy connection point for hydraulic supply.

BOP Trailer

A tandem axle trailer with two 7000lb. axles. A self contained diesel engine with a direct mount hydraulic motor which provides hydraulic supply. Three – eleven gallon accumulators supply the BOP system. A nitrogen bottle is used for backup.
